How DriveSync collects, uses and protects your information.

Note: this policy is a general-purpose starting point describing how the DriveSync platform is designed to handle data. It is not a substitute for legal advice — please have it reviewed by a professional familiar with Sri Lankan data protection law before treating it as final.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — name, email, phone number and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Vehicle information — make, model, registration plate, year, and any details you add to a listing.
- Service records — appointments, jobs performed, parts used, and invoices tied to your vehicles.
- Company & branch information — for service centers: company details, branch locations, staff and roles.
- Payment records — amounts and status of payments made against invoices or service charges. DriveSync does not process card payments directly; payments are recorded by staff/admins.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account, roles and dashboards.
- To connect vehicle owners with service centers for bookings and jobs.
- To maintain a continuous vehicle service history across branches.
- To send in-app notifications about appointments, invites and approvals.
- To improve the platform and diagnose issues.
3. Data Sharing
Your vehicle and service data is visible to the branches you interact with and to your own company/branch staff, scoped by role. DriveSync does not sell personal data to third parties. Public marketplace listings (e.g. a vehicle marked "for sale") are visible to anyone, by design.
4. Data Retention
Account and service history data is retained for as long as your account is active, so your vehicle's service history remains continuous and useful. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
DriveSync stores a session token and basic profile information in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. This site does not use third-party tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
You can access, correct or request deletion of your personal data at any time by reaching out through our Contact page.
